PLANTATION , FL, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Jack Brewer Foundation Fathers Reach Families More Than Half a Million Times From Behind Bars
The Jack Brewer Foundation (JBF), doing business as Serving Ministries, today reported that incarcerated fathers in its Faith & Fatherhood program reached their children and families more than 519,000 times over the 2023–2026 period — through 343,004 phone calls, 152,166 letters, and 24,758 in-person visits. The results reflect a simple conviction at the heart of the Foundation’s work: incarceration does not have to sever the bond between a father and his child.
Across the same period, 3,096 incarcerated fathers participated in the program, reaching 11,166 children. Fathers completed 36,266 fatherhood classes and earned 9,234 certificates. In post-program surveys, 94% reported improved connection with their families, 95% reported greater understanding of healthy relationships, and 97% reported increased knowledge of the JBF Fatherhood core curriculum.
“Behind every one of those half-million calls, letters, and visits is a child who got to hear their father’s voice, and a father who refused to give up on his family,” said Jack Brewer, Founder of the Jack Brewer Foundation and a White House Presidential Appointee to the Commission on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys. “Fatherlessness is the root cause behind so much of the pain we see in our communities. This program proves that even from behind prison walls, fathers can lead, love, and rebuild — and that the family is always worth fighting for.”
The program pairs incarcerated fathers with faith-based mentorship, parenting instruction, and facilitated communication that lets them stay present in their children’s lives on a consistent schedule. Fathers set reunification goals, receive accountability from program mentors, and prepare for a stable return home.
The impact continues after release. Through its post-release support, JBF secured 70 job placements for returning fathers, provided 546 months of housing assistance, distributed 1,328 Bibles, and delivered more than $561,000 in housing, clothing, hygiene, and driver’s-license assistance to help fathers overcome the barriers that most often lead back to prison.
JBF’s broader Blessings to Fatherhood Families initiative delivered more than 4.8 million pounds of food and benefited 250,819 family members over the same period, strengthening the households these fathers are working to rejoin.
“This is what redemption looks like in practice,” Brewer added. “We meet these men where they are, we hold them accountable, we point them to God, and we give them a path back to the people who need them most.”
