RFG Advisory (“RFG”), an innovator in the wealth management industry dedicated to helping independent financial Advisors build their businesses without compromise, today announced it has surpassed $1.5 billion in recruited client assets during the first half of 2026, marking the strongest recruiting period in firm history.
The milestone was reached with the addition of Brian LaHue, CFP® and Sweet Life Financial Planning (“Sweet Life”), an Indiana-based advisory team joining RFG from Farther. The team includes Hannah Harbeson, Financial Planning Assistant; Sarah Cole, Planning & Operations Associate; and Marcee LaHue, Client Experience Liaison.
Led by LaHue, Sweet Life serves clients through a holistic, planning-first approach that integrates wealth, lifestyle, health and long-term personal goals into the financial planning process. As the team evaluated the next chapter of its business, it sought a partner that could remove operational complexity while preserving the personalized client experience that defines the firm.
RFG’s record first-half recruiting momentum reflects growing demand from Advisors seeking more than independence. Increasingly, growth-minded firms are choosing strategic operating partners that combine integrated technology, institutional investment capabilities, operational scale and dedicated growth resources while preserving the ownership, flexibility and enterprise value Advisors value most.
“Culture creates opportunity, but execution earns results,” said Shannon Spotswood, CEO of RFG Advisory. “We’ve spent years intentionally building both. We have an incredible community of entrepreneurial Advisors, and we’ve matched that culture with disciplined execution across every part of our business. When you combine exceptional people with the right infrastructure and a relentless commitment to helping Advisors grow, great things happen. This recruiting momentum is a reflection of that.”
The firm’s growth reflects a deliberate strategy of investing ahead of where the industry is headed. Recent investments include the continued expansion of ClickONE, its AI-powered Advisor operating system; a strategic investment in Zocks to advance AI-powered Advisor workflows; expanded alternative investment capabilities through iCapital; and the firm’s first Advisor majority acquisition with RVA Wealth Management, marking a significant milestone in RFG’s long-term strategy to expand capital solutions and help Advisors navigate succession, monetization and continued growth.
“Record recruiting isn’t the result of any one initiative. It’s the outcome of years of intentional investment,” said Ed Swenson, President of RFG Advisory. “We’ve been disciplined about building the right team, refining our processes and investing ahead of where the industry is headed. From AI and technology to investment capabilities and operational excellence, we’re firing on all cylinders to create a platform that helps Advisors grow stronger businesses. That’s why we’re seeing firms choose RFG.”
Recent additions to the RFG community include Black Oak Asset Management, Pierson Wealth Management, Aspire Financial Group, Tujian Financial, Arcadia Grove Wealth, Financial Fitness Wealth Management, and several other advisory businesses across the country. As RFG continues investing in artificial intelligence, integrated technology, institutional investment capabilities and Advisor growth resources, the firm expects recruiting momentum to continue throughout the second half of 2026.
